Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for next month's bout.
Ex twice world boxing king Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
Despite such comments, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK rival Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the novice remains one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Difference
As both boxers met for the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
